When are you open in Hemsedal?

Regular week: Wednesday–Thursday 3–9 p.m., Friday–Saturday 1–10 p.m., Sunday 1–9 p.m. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Special hours apply during holidays and public holidays. We open on December 4th.

Do I have to book a table?

Drop-ins are welcome. On weekends, holidays and for groups we recommend reservations at booking@8glass.no .

Do you have a group menu?

Yes. Outside opening hours we open the house for 20 people or more. During opening hours the group can choose a group menu or à la carte. The menu is on the Groups page.

Directly below the restaurant is a two-story parking garage. SkiStar has parking directly above. There are several spaces in the ski center. If you come by ski bus: get off at Lodgen and walk away, or get off at Stavkroa and stroll away.

Only at Tjøme, during the summer season. In Hemsedal there is a restaurant, takeaway at the checkout and catering on order — not Foodora or Wolt.

No. Ski clothes work just as well.

What does eight glasses mean?

On board, time passes in shifts of four hours. Every half hour they strike one more glass on the ship's clock.Half an hour: one glass.One hour: two.Two hours: four.Four hours: eight glasses.When the clock strikes eight, the watch is over. It is then 04, 08, 12, 16, 20 or 24. Then the crew changes and everyone gathers.That's why we're called 8 Glass: end of session, come to the table.
